AL and BL Series Leaf Chains
A leaf chain is a pin-and-plate chain with no rollers or bushes: it is designed purely to carry tension over a sheave. That makes plate material, pin hardness and lacing pattern the whole story. Our leaf chains are built to ANSI B29.8 with shot-peened plates and through-hardened pins for predictable fatigue life in mast and hoist applications.
- AL series: lighter plate section for standard mast and balance applications.
- BL series: heavier plates and pins for high-capacity lifting and counterweight duty.
- Lacing combinations: 2×3, 3×4, 4×6 and beyond, matched to the required working load.
- Sheave compatible: designed to run over sheaves rather than sprockets, with controlled plate edges.
