Spline & Polygon Shafts
Torque Without a Keyway
Spline shafts to DIN 5463 and polygon profiles to DIN 32711 and DIN 32712, cut up to six metres and hardened in our own induction plant.
Shafts, Hubs and Profiles
Shafts, Hubs and Profiles
A polygon connection carries more torque than a keyway of the same size and stays concentric at speed, which is why it keeps replacing splines on high-duty drives. NTT cuts both: classical DIN 5463 splines and P3G or P4C polygon profiles, together with the matching hubs, on shafts up to six metres, then heat-treats and coats them in house.
  • Spline profile DIN 5463: shafts up to 6 m in C45, 42CrMo4 and 1.4301 stainless steel.
  • Polygon P3G and P4C: DIN 32711 and DIN 32712 profiles, stronger and more concentric than splines.
  • Hubs: round, flanged, split and collar clamp designs in C45, Rg7 brass and stainless.
  • Many standards: DIN 5480, DIN 5482, DIN 9611, ISO 4156 and ANSI B92.1.
